Herman Miller Chairs Get Greener

As well as being design classics and among the most comfortable ergonomic chairs on the market, some of Wellworking’s favourites are now even more environmentally friendly.

Herman Miller have managed to increase the proportion of recycled material used in some of their best-selling products including the Aeron, Mirra 2 and Sayl task chairs.

The Aeron is now made of 53% recycled content, an increase of 13% from before. Half of the Mirra 2 consists of recycled materials while the Sayl is now made from 35% recycled resources.

Even better, not only are these chairs now made of more recycled materials, all three products are also over 90% recyclable when they reach the end of their useful life.

It’s all part of Herman Miller’s Design for the Environment commitment as they aim to manufacture more sustainable products. The furniture firm has the environment at the forefront of everything it does. It was a founding member of NextWave which is committed to removing plastic waste from rivers and coastal areas to reuse the materials in products and packaging. They only use renewable energy at their sites across the world and are phasing out sources of single use plastics.

We have these products and more from Herman Miller available in stock right now. This means we can dispatch them to your home or office in just 2-3 working days. What’s more, our own drivers will deliver for free across Mainland UK and take away all the packaging.
